Our early Christmas gift :)

We signed the contract with the company that will build our house today!
Going through the contract and all the fine print that came with it took over 7 hours. Thankfully the girls got to play at a friends house so they wouldn’t be bored out of their mind. Ryan was just being his usual self and super great during all of it.
We got a pretty good deal and are happy with the house we signed for. We will be meeting with the architect in January and talk about all the details (where do we want windows, walls, doors, outlets, etc. etc.)
Then it’s a bunch of bureaucracy. A bunch of running around to get things like the building permit signed. Sometime around March the actual building will start and next Christmas – if everything goes according to the company’s time schedule – we’ll already be celebrating in our brand new house! This is pretty exciting people! Yay!

Oh and here’s a fun fact: You know how you get a bouquet of flowers when you buy a new car? Well, turns out when you are signing a contract to build a house the company invites you to dinner to celebrate 😉 Neat.

Now I am really looking forward to the weekend (some time in the near future) – also paid by ProHaus – where we get to go to North Germany to pick out our floors, doors, windows, house color, bathrooms, etc. ect. Exciting!

This is an amazing Christmas gift! We are all happy and healthy (which is the most important part) and now building is actually happening – and a lot sooner than we thought. I have no idea what I ever did to deserve all of this, but I am loving it every single second of every single day! Merry Christmas!
