Early this morning we had our first meeting at our land with the site manager (no idea if this is the right word for “Bauleiter” but my husband said it was so I am going to use it 😉 ). The guy who will be there to overlook the workers and basically tell them what to do and make sure they do it.
Apparently he believed that we already had a building permit, guess someone forgot to tell him we don’t.
He told us all the stuff that was currently being done, still needs to be done, etc. etc.
He also gave us a little hope by saying that as long as the ground is not frozen to about a meter deep we can still put the foundation down. And once the foundation is down, the weather doesn’t matter anymore. Apparently they can put the house up in any kind of weather.
So now we just – as always – have to wait for the building permit. Everyone else is ready to start this.
