Today we got our huge delivery of doors, bathtubs, toilets, shower, …. and all the stuff that’s needed to install it. I was told that the delivery would get there some time between noon and 2 pm and that the driver would call me 1 hour before he arrives at the construction site. At 1 pm I called to ask what was going on and was told the driver had some trouble at another customer’s house and was going to be a bit late, but would still call me an hour before he got there. A couple of minutes before 3 pm he called saying he was at our house….. so much for the one hour warning I guess. So I got the kids in the car and left. HUGE amounts of stuff was right in front of our door. ProHaus had failed to mention (they do claim it’s in our contract, but it’s really not, I checked), that the driver was only dropping off the stuff and wouldn’t help me carrying it inside. Thanks to the help of one of our great new neighbors about 1.5 – 2 hours later we actually did have everything in our house. I couldn’t have done it alone and Chris couldn’t take a day off at his new job either. So I am extremely thankful for having such helpful neighbors. I would have been really lost today without some help.
